OUR MISSION
The goal of La Mirada Soccer Association’s (LMSA & LMFC) is to provide children and adolescents in the La Mirada area access to a high quality, recreational and competitive youth soccer program. The objectives of the program are to develop good character and sportsmanship among players, coaches, referees, and spectators, to develop all-around athletic coordination and prowess, to perpetuate a positive learning experience, and to assure every participant an equal opportunity to play soccer.
Everyone Plays - LMSA’s goal is for children to play soccer so every player on every recreational team is guaranteed playing time.
Balanced Teams - Each year new recreational teams are formed as evenly balanced as possible because it is fair and more fun when teams of equal ability play.
Open Registration - Our program is open to all children between 4 and 18 years of age who want to register and play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing.
Positive Coaching - Children excel when they are supported and encouraged. We train and encourage our coaches to make the extra effort to understand and offer positive support to our players.
Good Sportsmanship - We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect, rather than a win at-all-costs attitude, and our program is designed to instill good sportsmanship through every facet of LMSA.
Player Development – Our goal is for players to develop their soccer skills, be physically fit, and build character through teamwork.
